Piles (Hemorrhoids)
Piles are swollen veins in the rectum or anus, which can be internal or external. They often cause bleeding, itching, and pain during bowel movements. Mild cases improve with diet and medication, while advanced cases may require laser or surgical procedures.

Fissure in Ano
An anal fissure is a small tear in the anal lining, typically caused by constipation or passing hard stools. It results in sharp pain and bleeding during bowel movements. Most fissures heal with stool softeners, creams, and lifestyle changes. Chronic fissures may need minor surgery.

Fistula in Ano
This is an abnormal tunnel that forms between the anal canal and the skin around the anus. It's often the result of a previously untreated abscess. Symptoms include pus discharge, irritation, and pain. Surgical treatment is usually required to prevent recurrence and ensure healing.

Rectovaginal Fistula
A rectovaginal fistula is an unwanted connection between the rectum and vagina, leading to the passage of stool or gas through the vagina. Common causes include childbirth trauma, surgery, or infections. Surgery is usually required for complete repair and quality-of-life improvement.

Perianal Abscess
A painful, pus-filled lump near the anus, caused by infection of small anal glands. Symptoms include fever, redness, and throbbing pain. It must be promptly drained to prevent fistula formation or deeper infection spread.

Thrombosed Hemorrhoids
These are external hemorrhoids where a blood clot forms inside, causing severe pain, swelling, and a bluish lump. If untreated, they may burst or cause infection. Treatment may include pain relief, clot removal, or surgical excision in serious cases.

Ulcerative Colitis
A chronic condition that causes inflammation and ulcers in the inner lining of the colon and rectum. Symptoms include bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fatigue. It requires long-term management through medication, diet control, and sometimes surgery.

Crohn’s Disease
Crohn’s is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease affecting any part of the digestive tract. It leads to abdominal pain, persistent diarrhea, weight loss, and fatigue. There is no cure, but it can be managed through medication, dietary changes, and surgical options if necessary.

Constipation
Constipation is defined by infrequent, difficult, or painful bowel movements. It may lead to straining, hard stools, and complications like fissures or piles. Causes include low fiber intake, dehydration, or lack of activity. Regular bowel habits and lifestyle changes are key.

Pilonidal Sinus
This is a small tunnel or cyst near the tailbone, often filled with hair and skin debris. It can become infected and form an abscess, causing pain and discharge. It’s more common in young men and those who sit for long periods. Surgery is the standard treatment.

Condyloma Acuminata (Anal Warts)
Caused by human papillomavirus (HPV), these are small, soft growths around the anus. Though often painless, they may itch or bleed. Warts can multiply if untreated. Removal options include topical treatments, cauterization, or laser therapy.

Anal Itching (Pruritus Ani)
Anal itching is a common symptom caused by skin irritation, infection, poor hygiene, or allergies. It may worsen at night and disrupt sleep. Maintaining cleanliness, avoiding irritants, and using medicated creams can relieve symptoms effectively.

Anal Stenosis
Anal stenosis is the narrowing of the anal canal, typically after surgery or chronic inflammation. It leads to difficulty or pain during defecation. Treatment ranges from dietary adjustments to dilation and, in severe cases, surgical correction.

Ano-Rectal Bleeding
Bleeding from the rectum or anus can result from piles, fissures, polyps, or even cancer. It may appear as blood in the stool or on toilet paper. Early diagnosis is vital. Evaluation through anoscopy or colonoscopy is often necessary.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
IBS is a functional gastrointestinal disorder marked by abdominal discomfort, bloating, and irregular bowel habits (diarrhea, constipation, or both). Stress and diet are key triggers. It is managed through lifestyle changes, medications, and stress control.

Rectal Polyps
Polyps are growths on the inner lining of the rectum that can be benign or pre-cancerous. Often symptomless, they may occasionally cause bleeding. Colonoscopy helps detect and remove them early to prevent colorectal cancer.

Rectal Prolapse
A condition where part of the rectum slips out of the anus, seen more in elderly or chronically constipated patients. Symptoms include visible bulging, mucus leakage, and discomfort. Surgical repair is usually required for lasting results.

Ano-Rectal Cancer
Cancer of the anus or rectum may present as bleeding, pain, a lump, or bowel habit changes. Risk factors include age, family history, and HPV infection. Early detection through screening improves treatment outcomes significantly.

Anal Tags
Anal tags are harmless skin flaps around the anus, usually resulting from healed fissures or hemorrhoids. Though painless, they may cause hygiene problems or irritation. They can be removed surgically for comfort or cosmetic reasons.

Anal Incontinence
This is the involuntary leakage of stool or gas due to weakened anal muscles or nerve damage. It can occur after childbirth, surgery, or neurological disorders. Treatment may involve pelvic therapy, dietary changes, or surgical repair.

Anorectal Wounds
These include injuries or ulcers in the anal or rectal area caused by trauma, infections, or surgical complications. They may result in pain, bleeding, or infection. Proper wound care, antibiotics, and follow-up are essential for healing.

Piles (Hemorrhoids)
A modern, painless procedure where laser energy is used to shrink the swollen hemorrhoidal tissues without cutting. It is quick, safe, and allows a faster recovery. This outpatient procedure minimizes trauma to surrounding tissues and usually requires no stitches. Most patients can resume normal activities within a day or two.
DGHAL (Doppler-Guided Hemorrhoidal Artery Ligation)
This technique uses a Doppler ultrasound device to locate and tie off the blood vessels supplying the hemorrhoids, causing them to shrink naturally over time. It is effective in reducing bleeding and prolapse, with minimal pain and no need for incisions. The procedure is typically done under local or regional anesthesia.
Sclerotherapy
A non-surgical treatment where a special solution is injected into the hemorrhoids, causing them to shrink and eventually disappear. Ideal for early-stage piles. It’s a quick outpatient procedure with no downtime, making it perfect for patients with mild to moderate symptoms. It can be repeated if necessary.
Rubber Band Ligation
In this method, a small rubber band is placed around the base of the hemorrhoid, cutting off its blood supply, leading it to fall off naturally within a few days. It is a commonly used treatment for internal hemorrhoids and does not require anesthesia. Some patients may experience mild discomfort or pressure afterward.
LORD’s Procedure (Ligation of the Redundant Dermis)
This is a simple and effective outpatient procedure that involves tying off the excess skin and hemorrhoidal tissue to reduce swelling and discomfort. It helps in treating large or prolapsed hemorrhoids, improving hygiene and quality of life. The recovery time is short with minimal post-operative care.
LigaSure Hemorrhoidectomy
An advanced surgical method using the LigaSure device to seal blood vessels and remove hemorrhoids with minimal bleeding and quicker healing. This technique ensures precision and reduces the risk of recurrence. It's suitable for patients with severe or recurring hemorrhoids who require surgical intervention.
Laser Ablation
A minimally invasive procedure that uses focused laser energy to precisely burn and remove hemorrhoidal tissue with minimal pain and downtime. It causes very little bleeding, offers excellent cosmetic results, and significantly lowers the risk of complications. Most patients report high satisfaction and fast recovery.
